Education levels

how does it differ from other levels?
D3
A D3 in Statistics is shorter and vocational, emphasizing operational skills for data processing and presentation. Graduates are directed toward entry-level technical roles, whereas an S1 provides a broader foundation in theory, inference, and analysis.
D4
A D4, or Bachelor of Applied Statistics, is oriented toward practice and professional needs, including surveys, censuses, data processing, and official statistics. An S1 in Statistics tends to be more academic and gives more room for theory and methodological development.
S2
An S2 in Statistics deepens the theory, methodology, and application of statistics after an S1. It typically takes about 1.5–2 years and is aimed at advanced analytical or research expertise, rather than building a bachelor's foundation.
S3

Check the program's own accreditation rating (not just the campus's) on official sites. International accreditation is a plus for certain fields.

Student–faculty ratio & how to calculate it

ratio = active students ÷ full-time faculty
Example: 600 students ÷ 25 faculty = 1 : 24
Ideal: ≈1:20 for STEM/science fields, ≈1:30 for social sciences/humanities (per Ministry of Education guidance).
!The smaller the second number, the more attention each student gets. Above 1:40 is worth flagging.
!Also check faculty qualifications (Master's/PhD) and whether there are industry practitioner lecturers.
