A D3 in Information Systems (3 years) focuses more on practical skills — system implementation, database administration, and basic programming. Graduates typically enter positions such as IT technician, database operator, or support staff. Example campuses: BSI, Politeknik Negeri Jakarta, and other state polytechnics.
D4
A D4 in Information Systems (4 years) is an applied bachelor's degree — the same duration as an S1 but more practical and industry-oriented. For example, ITS Surabaya offers an industry-project-based D4 program related to Information Technology. Graduates are ready to enter the workforce directly at a mid-level professional tier.
S2
An S2 (master's) in Information Systems (2 years) focuses on advanced research, IS strategy, IT governance, and enterprise architecture. For example, Telkom University and the University of Indonesia offer S2 programs in Information Systems. Student–faculty ratio & how to calculate it

ratio = active students ÷ full-time faculty
Example: 600 students ÷ 25 faculty = 1 : 24
Ideal: ≈1:20 for STEM/science fields, ≈1:30 for social sciences/humanities (per Ministry of Education guidance).
!The smaller the second number, the more attention each student gets. Above 1:40 is worth flagging.
