D3
The D3 Psychology program (a 3-year diploma) focuses on the practical skills needed to work as a psychologist's assistant or assessment technician. The curriculum is more practice-oriented than theoretical, emphasizing the administration of psychological tests and support for psychological services. D3 graduates work as administrative staff in psychology clinics, HR, or social services, not as independent psychologists.
S2
A master's in Psychology (S2, 2 years) is the professional level required to become a licensed psychologist. You will choose a specialization such as Clinical Psychology, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Educational Psychology, or Child Psychology. The curriculum includes intensive practicum, supervised internships, and a thesis. S2 graduates earn the title of Psychologist and can work independently, conducting assessments and psychological interventions.
S3
A doctorate in Psychology (S3, 3-4 years) is the highest research level, focusing on theory development and original research in the field of psychology. The curriculum emphasizes advanced research methodology, complex statistics, and a dissertation that makes a new contribution to psychological science. S3 graduates typically become lecturers, senior researchers, or high-level consultants.

vsPsychiatry
Psychiatry is a specialist medical program that focuses on treating mental disorders with prescription medication. Psychiatry graduates are medical doctors (dr.) who specialize in mental health. Psychology graduates cannot prescribe medication; they focus on psychological assessment and intervention.
vsGuidance and Counseling
Guidance and Counseling is a program in the Faculty of Education that focuses on counseling services in school settings. Graduates become counselors, not psychologists. To become a psychologist, you must complete an S2 master's program in Psychology after earning an S1 bachelor's in Psychology.
vsSociology
Sociology studies society and social groups at a macro level, whereas psychology focuses on the individual and mental processes. Sociology is more interested in societal patterns, while psychology looks at why specific individuals behave in certain ways.
vsCommunication Studies
Communication Studies focuses on information exchange processes and the media, while psychology studies mental processes and behavior. Although the two overlap in communication psychology, their focus and approaches are different.

MYTH Psychology graduates can immediately become psychologists and open a private practice.
FACT S1 Psychology graduates earn a Bachelor of Psychology (S.Psi) degree, not the title of psychologist. To become a psychologist, you must complete an S2 master's program in Psychology (2 years) and choose a specialization such as clinical, industrial-organizational, or educational psychology.
MYTH Psychology is just learning to read people's minds.
FACT Psychology is an empirical science that uses scientific methods. You will study statistics, research, and evidence-based assessment, not mind-reading or anything mystical.

ratio = active students ÷ full-time faculty
Example: 600 students ÷ 25 faculty = 1 : 24
✓Ideal: ≈1:20 for STEM/science fields, ≈1:30 for social sciences/humanities (per Ministry of Education guidance).
!The smaller the second number, the more attention each student gets. Above 1:40 is worth flagging.
